Body Of Woman Found Off Dobbin Road: Police

There is no foul play suspected after a woman's body was found in Columbia near a wooded area, Howard County police reported.

COLUMBIA, MD — Officials are investigating after a woman's body was found near a wooded area in Columbia. She was discovered by a resident on Sunday, Feb. 3, police reported Monday morning.

The woman was located in the 6100 block of Dobbin Road, according to officials, who responded at 4:46 p.m. on Sunday.

Based on the initial investigation, police said there are no signs of soul play.

The woman was not dressed appropriately for the weather, according to officials, who said it was unclear how long she had been out in the elements.

Temperatures were below freezing for much of the last week due to an arctic front, which left a couple of inches of snow and resulted in dangerous wind chills.

An autopsy will reveal her identity and cause of death, police said.
