Brighton Dam Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project To Be Discussed In Virtual Meeting
Officials from Howard and Montgomery counties will jointly host a virtual meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of Brighton Dam Road Bridge.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD— A joint virtual public meeting with Howard County's department of public works' transportation and special projects division and Montgomery County's department of transportation will be held Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. to present plans for the rehabilitation of Brighton Dam Road Bridge No. M-0229 atop Brighton Dam of the Triadelphia Reservoir.
The project will include repairs to the bridge’s concrete parapets, deck joints, prestressed concrete beams, concrete abutment backwalls, streetlights, asphalt approach roadways and concrete sidewalks to enhance the safety of the bridge and integrity of the dam. New drainage troughs will be installed and existing storm inlets on the approach roadways will be improved as needed.
The virtual public meeting will include presentation slides using an internet-based virtual platform. The project team, including Howard County project manager Jake Weir, MCDOT project manager Greg Hwang, WSSC project manager Samir Khalil and the design consultant, will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.
