Teenage Boy Fatally Shot By Older Brother Who Then Killed Himself: Howard County Police

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A teenage boy has been fatally shot by his 25-year-old brother who then shot and killed himself Tuesday around 1 p.m.

Howard County police responded to the 5200 block of Five Fingers Way in Columbia May 30 for an incident they say appears to be a domestic murder-suicide.

Police believe that Michael Bassler, 25, shot and killed his brother Stephen Bassler, 15, and then shot and killed himself. Both lived at the residence, according to the police department.
