Brush Fires Stop Traffic on I-95 South Near Columbia

Traffic was at a standstill on Interstate 95 south of Columbia due to brush fire activity Thursday afternoon.

There were multiple brush fires on I-95 south near MD 32, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported at 12:25 p.m.

By 12:40 p.m., the department reported that the fires were out and crews remained at the scene.

Multiple lanes were closed on I-95 south near MD 216/Scaggsville Road, according to state transportation officials.

Traffic on I-95 south at MD 32 was stopped after 12:40 p.m.
