Card Skimming Device In Columbia Reported

A gas pump at an Exxon station in Columbia reportedly had a credit card skimming device placed on it, police said.

COLUMBIA, MD — A debit card skimmer was reported at an Exxon station in Columbia, the Howard County Police Department said on Thursday.

The device was found on one of the gas pumps at Exxon in the 8800 block of Centre Park Drive between May 16 and May 17, according to police.

Since it was unknown whether any cards were compromised, officials advised all who have recently used their credit cards at this particular Exxon to check their bank records.
