Caribbean-Southern Fusion Restaurant, Arcade + Bar Opening In Howard County
GameOn and The Angry Jerk will be opening in downtown Columbia this year. Toastique held its grand opening Feb. 25.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Two new businesses will be opening in downtown Columbia on the heels of Toastique, which held its grand opening Feb. 25.
Toastique, a gourmet toast and juice bar, recently opened its sixth DMV location at 6201 Mango Tree Road. Housed in a standalone building at the west end of Color Burst Park near the splash pad, the 1,700 square-foot downtown Columbia location offers outdoor seating and a menu featuring healthy, made-to-order toast, juices and smoothies using seasonal ingredients and responsibly sourced products.
GameOn’s downtown Columbia location will be the third and most modernized location of the popular old-school arcade/bar concept featuring fun cocktails, vibrant graffiti wall art and both new and retro arcade games. Owned by Howard County natives and residents Casey and Eli Linthicum, the new 4,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor space will open in the street level retail at Juniper adjacent to Color Burst Park.

Open to accompanied minors during the day and limited to patrons 21+ after 8 p.m., the bar and arcade will organize the games into alleys by decade with weekly events and themed nights, plus a menu offering high-end craft cocktails, local beers and a variety of pizzas and wings paired with specially-curated sauces. All offerings will be made in-house using high-quality ingredients.
The Angry Jerk is a made-to-order Caribbean-Southern fusion restaurant from Maryland-raised owner-chef Jason Miskiri and will open its second location occupying 2,200 square feet in downtown Columbia. Menu items include jerk sauce tacos and bowls with a Caribbean twist.
