Columbia Among Best Cities To Find A Job In 2019: Study

MARYLAND — If your New Year's resolution is to find a new job, Columbia is one of the best places to be, according to a new report by WalletHub. To determine the best places to find a job this year, the study's authors compared more than 180 American cities across 30 key indicators of job-market strength, ranging from job opportunities to employment growth to monthly average starting salary.

Scottsdale, Arizona, is the best place to find a job, followed by Columbia, Maryland, and Orlando, Florida, according to the report. The worst? Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Columbia tied with five other cities for the highest median annual income; they were Gilbert, Scottsdale and Chandler, Arizona; Plano, Texas; and Overland Park, Kansas.
