Columbia Association Honored in "Best of Howard County 2014" Readers' Choice Awards

Columbia Association (CA) is grateful to be recognized once again in Howard Magazine’s annual awards, in which readers vote on the best that Howard County has to offer in 70 different categories.

For the third straight year, the 1st place prize for best personal trainer has been awarded to CA’s Bonnie Pace, a fitness training supervisor and elite personal trainer at Columbia Gym.

“I’m very honored, but I’m just doing what I enjoy doing,” Pace said. “I’m in such good company in Howard County. There are so many trainers doing amazing work and bringing a creative approach to their jobs, including many whom I work alongside every day. I genuinely enjoy being with my clients. I believe that we can achieve their goals together. I try to nudge in a positive manner. I do it with a smile. I try to make myself a partner in the process as opposed to someone who is just telling them what to do.”

CA also received a total of 11 honorable mentions in seven other categories:

• Place to Enjoy the Arts: Columbia Art Center
• Golf Course: Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club
• Gym: Columbia Gym, Supreme Sports Club
• Pool for Kids: River Hill Pool, Swansfield Pool and Mini-WaterPark
• Workout Class: BodyPump at Columbia Gym, BodyPump at Supreme Sports Club
• First Date: Columbia Lakefront
