Columbia Business Hires Tax Advisor

COLUMBIA, MD — Just in time for the tax season, William Martin, Jr. has joined UHY Advisors, Inc., and UHY LLP as principal. Martin will be based in the firm’s Columbia, Md., office and responsible for providing proactive and customized tax advice to a diverse group of clients.

“Bill brings over 30 years of experience in tax and advisory services,” said Harold L. Mohn, Jr., UHY Advisors Mid-Atlantic chief executive officer, in a statement. “Bill joining our firm strengthens our commitment and ability to provide outstanding tax services as we head into our busiest time of year."

Martin concentrates on small businesses with an emphasis on medical practices, law firms and retail establishments. He has extensive experience in federal and state income taxes for corporations and individuals. He consults on business planning matters such as estate planning and wills, buy-side and sell-side agreements and incorporations. Martin has assisted clients with personal and business planning and investments.

Martin has a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore. He is active in many charitable and community organizations, including The Associated Italian American Charities of Maryland, The Appian Society, La Dolce Vita and Columbus Celebrations, Inc.
