Columbia Festival of the Arts Announces Fall Festival

Columbia Festival of the Arts' 2015 Fall Festival: British Invasion to run October 2-4 in venues throughout Columbia.

The Columbia Festival of the Arts has announced its 2015 Fall Festival, featuring a diverse array of arts events centered around the Fall Festival’s theme: British Invasion.

The British Invasion Festival will be presented October 2nd through 4th, during which time twelve events will be offered in multiple venues throughout Columbia. Over the three days, audiences will see opera, theatre, chamber concerts, and literary events, and high tea can be enjoyed each day. A blend of artists and stories with British ties, British Invasion presentations include Charles Dickens’ great-great-grandson performing Great Expectations and Hub Opera Ensemble’s The Turn of the Screw, a fully produced opera based on the tale by Henry James.

On Saturday October 3rd the Columbia Orchestra will join Classic Albums Live to present Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, a performance of the iconic Beatles album in its entirety, followed by a late night showing of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind by acclaimed experimental theatre ensemble The Neo-Futurists.
