Columbia Grilled Cheese & Co. Celebrates Opening
The classic eatery is holding a grand opening event on Wednesday, April 25, in Columbia.
COLUMBIA, MD — Grilled Cheese & Co. will hold a special ribbon cutting in Columbia. The event is set for Wednesday, April 25.
Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford will be on hand to help cut the ribbon at 5 p.m. and so will County Executive Allan Kittleman.
Grilled Cheese & Co., which has locations in Catonsville, Gambrills and Federal Hill, reported there may be a "few surprises" at the ribbon cutting; however, good food was guaranteed.

The eatery is located outside Lord & Taylor on the first floor of The Mall in Columbia.
There are several tables where people can eat near the kiosk for ordering.

Just as the space at The Mall in Columbia is more compact than the other Grilled Cheese & Co. locations (since they are in restaurant spaces), the size of the menu for the Columbia spot is slimmer as well.
Here are the offerings:
- Original - American cheese
- Fresco - mozzarella, provolone, roasted peppers, basil pesto, balsamic glaze
- Crabby Melt - crab dip featuring sweet claw meat topped with Monterey Jack
- BCT - bacon, cheddar, tomato
- Tomato Basil
- Shoe String Fries
The ribbon cutting for Grilled Cheese & Co. will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at The Mall in Columbia, 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD 21044. The eatery is on the lower level outside Lord & Taylor.
