Columbia Homicide: 2 Charged With Murder, Police Say

Police said that two men were arrested in connection with the recent murder of a 27-year-old Columbia man shot on Old Tucker Row.

COLUMBIA, MD — Two Columbia men were charged in connection with the deadly shooting that occurred recently in Harper's Choice. A 27-year-old Columbia man was killed in the incident, officials said.

Daniel Keantay Owens, 24, of Cedar Lane, and Antonio Donte Bardney, 18, of Rivendell Lane, were arrested on Thursday, April 4, police reported. As of Friday morning, officials said they were in the process of being charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and related offenses.

Charges stem from the death of a Columbia man who was shot last week.

Ronald Carolina Jr., 27, was gunned down in the 5400 block of Old Tucker Row at 5:21 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, police said.

While they think the homicide was drug-related, authorities said they are still investigating the motive in the deadly shooting and whether there may be additional suspects.
