Columbia Mall Shootings 'One of the Most Tragic Events to Occur in Howard County': Police
The Howard County Police Department released a memorial statement Sunday on one-year anniversary of deadly shootings.
“It is with heavy hearts that we remember today the anniversary of one of the most tragic events to occur in Howard County. One year ago today, Brianna Benlolo and Tyler Johnson lost their lives in a shooting at the Columbia Mall. Our hearts go out to their families, today and every day. We have been overwhelmed by the community’s support for the police department over the last year, and today, we ask that we all focus together on the two innocent victims who were lost that day. This agency and this community will never let them be forgotten.” —Howard County Police Department via Facebook on Jan. 25, 2015.
