Columbia Man Killed When Car He's Riding In Leaves The Road, Hits A Tree: Police
A Columbia man was killed when the car he was riding in left the road and hit a tree early Sunday morning, according to the police.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 25-year-old Columbia resident was killed early Sunday morning when the vehicle Mawuena Lassey was riding in left Vollmerhausen Road near Vollmerhausen Drive and struck a tree. The driver, who was not identified by the Howard County Police Department, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was listed in critical condition.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. The driver and Lassey were in a 2021 Honda Accord that was traveling eastbound on Vollmerhausen Road. Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
