Columbia Teen Charged in Second Car Theft in One Week: Police
Three burglaries, airbag theft and more crimes were reported to Howard County police recently in Columbia.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A 17-year-old from Monarch Mills Way in Columbia was charged with motor vehicle theft. The car owner left a vehicle running with the doors unlocked on Thornton Woods Way when it was stolen at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 10. Police found the vehicle soon after and arrested the teen, who had also been charged in a Feb. 6 motor vehicle theft.
Airbags were stolen from two vehicles, in the 700 block of Twelvemonth Court and 5800 block of Alderleaf Court. The thefts occurred on Feb. 10.

A home in the 8500 block of Streambank Way was burglarized. The glass door was shattered between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 10. A purse, jewelry, electronics and cash were stolen.
After getting inside through a back window, the suspect(s) in a burglary in the 3300 block of Royal Oak Court stole jewelry and cash from the home. The burglary happened between 5:30 and 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 9.

Someone tried to get into a home in the 3500 block of Angus Valley way at 11:35 p.m. on Feb. 9. The door was locked, and the suspect(s) left.
