Whole Foods invites Columbia to celebrate birthday with giveaways and other goodies.

Whole Foods in Columbia is celebrating its first birthday Saturday.

Music, free samples, children’s activities, birthday cake, face tattoos and live music will be on tap at the store’s party.

There will be goodie bags for the first 200 customers.

During the celebration, the market will raffle off prizes, with proceeds going to the Whole Kids Foundation.

There is also a “healthy lunch” workshop at 3 p.m. in the back cafe area for those looking to get pointers on packing nutritious lunches.

The birthday celebration starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Columbia Whole Foods, 10275 Little Patuxent Parkway.
