Columbia Woman Killed in Cradlerock Way Crash
Police said the two-vehicle crash happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday in Owen Brown.

COLUMBIA, MD — A Columbia woman died after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning resulting from an apparent right-of-way violation, police reported.
Judy Ann Berry, 65, of Talisman Lane in Columbia, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was later pronounced deceased, after her vehicle was hit in Owen Brown, police said.
Around 7 a.m., Berry was headed west on Cradlerock Way in her 2013 Kia Soul when another driver allegedly failed to yield right-of-way and hit her, according to officials.

Martha Cecilia Dirton, 21, of Dockside Lane in Columbia, was attempting to cross Cradlerock Way from Dockside Lane in her 2015 Hyundai Elantra when she crashed into Berry's car, police said based on preliminary investigation.
Dirton was reportedly uninjured.

The Howard County Police Department reported that charges may be filed pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
