Community Clean-Up Project Saturday Helps Howard County Celebrate Earth Day
Celebrate Earth Day in Howard County with a special community clean-up project Saturday at Long Reach Village Center.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Students needing service learning hours or anyone wanting to help out and pitch in should attend The Big Sweep, an Earth Day community clean-up on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Long Reach Village Center, 8775 Cloudleap Court in Columbia.
There also will be a DJ spinning tunes and free lunch will be served to volunteers.
The Howard County Police Department, in conjunction with the local nonprofit Power52 Foundation, is hosting the event.
