Community Clinic This Week Offers Rabies Vaccine, Licenses For Pets
Pet owners can update their pet's rabies vaccine Thursday at a community clinic. Licenses also can be bought at that time.
COLUMBIA, MD — A community vaccination clinic will be held Thursday at the Howard County Animal Control & Adoption Center from 1 to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The monthly vaccination clinics, held on the third Thursday of each month, helps residents keep their pets up-to-date on their vaccinations per county code.
Pets must be at least four months old to receive a vaccination and can receive either the 1-year or 3-year rabies vaccine, which is based on their vaccination history. A copy of each pet's vaccine history needs to be presented at the clinic. The rabies vaccine will cost $5 and either cash or check will be accepted.

All pets must be on a non-retractable leash or in an escape-proof carriers. Muzzles also are required for aggressive dogs.
A county license can be bought for each pet inside the facility at an additional charge. Proof of spay or neuter is required.
