The community is invited to learn about the county's all-hazards mitigation plan and flood mitigation plan.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Learn about the county's all-hazards mitigation plan and flood mitigation plan Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Dayton Room at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center, 2400 MD 97, Cooksville.
The plans define county goals and actions that can be taken to mitigate impacts from a variety of hazards, including flooding, within the county. Every five years, the county is required to update the plans.
Staff members from the county's office of emergency management and department of public works will be on hand to explain both plans, answer questions and collect public comments.
