COVID Testing In Howard County: Where To Find Locations

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As the 7-day average positivity rate in Howard County jumped 3.63 percent, an increase of 1.7 percent from the past 30 days as of Dec. 21, more Marylanders are seeking COVID-19 tests but running into roadblocks finding them.

As of Dec. 21, Howard County has 11,851 active cases and some people are wanting to get tested ahead of family holiday gatherings.

The Howard County Health Department provides PCR testing for COVID-19 using the FDA-authorized Azova saliva test kit. Self-collection testing is administered on-site or with a take-home test kit. Test results are available in two to four days. These tests are given Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 8930 Stanford Blvd. in Columbia. BinaxNow At-Home Rapid Test Kits are available for pick-up during the testing dates while supplies last. Individuals are limited to two test kits per person. These free test kits are intended for people who may have been exposed to COVID-19, who are having symptoms of COVID-19 or who want to take extra steps to protect vulnerable family and friends they are visiting.

Rapid testing and PCR testing will be available to residents at no upfront cost through a partnership with First Call Urgent Care and Centennial Medical Group seven days a week from noon to 7 p.m. Click here for the complete schedule and locations.
