Crash on I-95 Closes Exit to Route 100

The collision caused major delays on the highway near Columbia.

A crash on Interstate 95 in Howard County snarled the Friday evening commute for travelers headed south in the area of MD Route 100.

The four-vehicle crash was reported at 6:20 p.m. on I-95 south before the exit for Route 100, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).

All lanes closed temporarily on I-95 south prior to the exit.

After 7:15 p.m., CHART reported the off-ramp from I-95 to Route 100 remained closed.

The State Highway Administration advised there were major delays and people should take alternate routes such as US 1 and MD 295.

Southbound traffic was stacked up on I-95 from MD 195 to Route 100 after 7:20 p.m.
