Crash On I-95 In Howard County Slows Traffic

BREAKING: A single-vehicle crash on I-95 north in Howard County was causing backups near the Route 100 exit.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A tractor-trailer that reportedly crashed into the woods caused congestion on Interstate 95 Tuesday morning in Howard County. The single-vehicle crash happened around 11 a.m., according to state transportation officials.

The two northbound lanes of I-95 were closed past the exit for MD 100, officials reported. Traffic was getting by on the left.

The crash involved a tractor-trailer that drifted off the road into the woods, according to WBAL Radio. By 11:45 a.m., the tractor-trailer had been towed from the scene.

Transportation officials said the right shoulder was the only area closed after 11:45 a.m. There was still congestion in the area.
