One Dead After Route 108 Crash: Police
Two vehicles collided near Lark Brown Road Thursday morning, Howard County emergency officials reported.

UPDATE (11:25 a.m.) — One driver died following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on MD 108/Waterloo Road at Lark Brown Road, police said.
Diana C. Turner, 33, of Baltimore, was pronounced deceased at Howard County General Hospital, according to officials.
Turner's Nissan Versa collided with another vehicle at approximately 8 a.m. on Thursday, police reported.

Scarlet S. Berard, 46, of Ellicott City, who had been driving the other vehicle — an Infiniti QX70 headed east on Route 108 — was uninjured, according to police.
The crash occurred as Turner was making a left onto Lark Brown Road from westbound Route 108; and based on preliminary investigation, police said she did not obey the traffic signal.

Turner was taken to Howard County General Hospital with critical injuries, according to officials, who later said she was pronounced deceased.
Route 108 east was closed at Lark Brown Road for approximately two hours, police said. Both directions of Lark Brown Road were closed until 10:20 a.m., police said.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD - Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area of Waterloo Road/MD 108 at Lark Brown Road Thursday morning.
There was a crash in the area, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported before 8:30 a.m. The intersection is near the Gateway Overlook shopping center.
At 8:45 a.m., officials said that MD 108 would be closed at Lark Brown Road for "an extended period of time."
