US 29 Reopens After Crash Outside Columbia: Police
Rush hour collision sent multiple people to the hospital, officials said.

All lanes of US Route 29 south of Columbia were closed for more than two hours Tuesday evening due to a crash, according to the State Highway Administration. Multiple people required medical treatment, according to officials.
At 4:57 p.m. on Tuesday, a three-vehicle collision was reported on Route 29 south at Johns Hopkins Road, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team.
A medical ambulance bus was called to the scene to transport eight people, one of whom had very serious, life-threatening injuries, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

Route 29 was closed between Johns Hopkins Road and Route 32, according to the Howard County Police Department, which advised drivers to avoid the area.
At 7:30 p.m., police reported northbound Route 29 had reopened Southbound Route 29 reopened after 8 p.m., according to Howard County police.
