Crashes Jam Up Highways Around HoCo Tuesday

Several collisions have snarled traffic around Howard County Tuesday morning, including on I-95, MD 100 and US 29.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD – Highways in Howard County have been peppered with crashes Tuesday morning.

  • Multiple vehicles crashed on eastbound MD 100 at Interstate 95 before 9:30 a.m., according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, which reported there were minor injuries. Four vehicles were involved in the crash, which transportation officials said was moved to the left lane and shoulder of MD 100 east after 9:30 a.m.
  • A single-vehicle crash occurred on I-95 south at Montgomery Road after 7:15 a.m., state transportation officials said. The right lane and shoulder on I-95 south remained closed after 9:30 a.m.
  • A tractor-trailer overturned on I-95 southbound at I-895, trapping someone inside, first responders reported before 7:45 a.m. The crash caused delays on I-95 in both directions.
  • There was a crash on US 29 south at MD 216 around 7 a.m. One person was hospitalized with minor injuries, Howard County emergency officials said.
