CVS Employee Assaulted, Items Stolen: HoCo Police Roundup
An employee at the Elkridge CVS store was assaulted by two male suspects who stole store merchandise and her cell phone, police reported.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following incidents occurred across Howard County July 28-Aug. 3 as reported per the Howard County Police Department.
Shooting
Ellicott City, 21043: 9000 block of Town and Country Boulevard, Aug. 2 7:03 p.m.
Police responded to a local hospital where an adult male victim reported that he was accidentally shot by an acquaintance at the above location. The victim was treated and released. The investigation is ongoing.

An adult female victim reported that she was approached by four male suspects with their faces
partially covered who demanded her belongings, then stole her phone and bag before fleeing. No
one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

ARREST: Commercial burglary update
Police have made an arrest in a June 28 burglary at AutoMax in the 9500 block of Washington Boulevard in Laurel. A suspect entered a shed on the property by cutting the lock and stole various tools. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him. ARRESTED: Jerome Hampton Spriggs Jr., 54, of Thrift Road in Clinton, charged with burglary and theft
