Truck Crash Clears From I-95 In Howard County

A crash involving an overturned truck closed lanes on Interstate 95 Tuesday morning in Howard County.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A crash on Interstate 95 in Howard County Tuesday had a major impact on morning traffic. Vehicles were at a standstill on I-95 south before the exit for MD 32, and backups extended past MD 175.

The crash involved an overturned truck, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, which reported one person was hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Transportation officials said the crash occurred before 9:45 a.m.

During the cleanup from the crash, three lanes were closed on I-95 south before Route 32. Officials said delays stretched for 4.5 miles.

By 11 a.m., authorities said that all lanes had reopened.
