Dumpster Fire Spreads To Warehouse, One Adult Injured: Fire Department

A dumpster fire got out of control and spread to a nearby warehouse, but was quickly brought under control by Howard County firefighters.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A dumpster fire that spread out of control Thursday afternoon was quickly extinguished by Howard County firefighters.

Multiple 911 calls came in to dispatchers around 2:45 p.m. The dumpster fire had spread to a nearby warehouse in the 7000 block of Oakland Mills Road in Columbia.

An adult at the scene was burned but refused treatment at the hospital. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Maryland Office of the Fire Marshal.
