Earn $25 By Recycling A.C. Units, Dehumidifiers In Columbia
BGE customers can take their working room A.C. units and dehumidifiers to SportsPark in Columbia Saturday and receive $25 per unit.
COLUMBIA, MD — Residents are able to to earn $25 per appliance by participating in a recycling drop-off event in Columbia this weekend. BGE is hosting the event and customers can drop off up to four room air conditioners or dehumidifiers to be recycled. The units must be in working order to be eligible for the $25 incentive.
Customers should take their room air conditioners and dehumidifiers to Columbia SportsPark at 5453 Harpers Farm Rd. Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine. Since 2013, BGE customers have turned in more than 2,570 window air conditioners and dehumidifiers at similar events, which is the equivalent of 155 tons of recycled waste kept out of landfills.
