Columbia Association (CA) adds Krav Maga to its list of martial arts offerings

Combining fitness and self-defense will be an easy feat this fall, as Columbia Association (CA) adds Krav Maga to its list of martial arts offerings.
Krav Maga is a martial art developed for the military in Israel that combines self-defense, fitness and fighting to create a unique and practical exercise program, according to John Bannon, martial arts director for CA. There will be a free demonstration held Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Columbia Gym, located at 6151 Daylong Lane in the River Hill Village Center
“Krav Maga is a self-defense system known for its focus on real-world situations,” Bannon said. “It’s important for everyone to know something about self-defense. Not only is Krav Maga very practical, but it’s a great workout as well.”
