Fire At Commercial Building Traced To Ventilation System
A fire broke out Tuesday morning at a commercial building in Columbia. The fire was traced to a ventilation system, officials report.

COLUMBIA, MD — Firefighters were called to the 5300 block of Village Center Drive Tuesday around 10:25 a.m. for a report of a fire at a multi-tenant commercial building.
When they arrived at the scene, firefighters found smoke rolling out of a ventilation duct and a fire in the ventilation system of a restaurant tenant where the sprinklers had activated, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries reported.
