Fire Threat Climbs In Baltimore-Washington Area: National Weather Service
Weather officials advise fires may spread more rapidly on Thursday due to dry, gusty conditions.

BALTIMORE, MD - Winds and dry conditions have combined to create conditions that are favorable for the spread of fires Thursday in the Baltimore-Washington area.
Over the past four to six weeks, there has been a lack of rain, according to a special weather statement from the National Weather Service.
Winds are expected to be 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph Thursday, the statement said, and with humidity between 25 and 30 percent, there is an enhanced threat of fires spreading should any occur.
