Deck Fire In Columbia Breaks Out On Easter: Officials

COLUMBIA, MD — Fire broke out at a residence Sunday afternoon in Columbia, officials said. Four people were receiving assistance, and nobody was injured, according to authorities.

Crews were called to a deck fire in the 10000 block of Hickory Ridge Road, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported.

As of 2:50 p.m., authorities said the fire was out.

The Red Cross was providing assistance to three adults and one child as a result of the blaze, officials reported before 4 p.m.
