Firefighter Injured, 3 Displaced In Townhome Blaze: Howard County Official

A firefighter was injured and 3 residents displaced in a townhouse fire that damaged all three floors of the home, according to officials.

Firefighters arrived at the townhome in the 7300 block of Hickory Log Circle in Columbia Thursday and found fire on all three floors of the townhome. They brought the fire under control within 30 minutes, according to officials.

COLUMBIA, MD — A townhome caught on fire Thursday around 2:10 p.m. and one Howard County firefighter was taken to the hospital with a minor burn injury.

Firefighters arrived at the townhome in the 7300 block of Hickory Log Circle in Columbia and found fire on all three floors of the townhome. They brought the fire under control within 30 minutes, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

No one was home at the time of the fire but three adults have been displaced. The American Red Cross will be offering help to them. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Maryland Office of the Fire Marshal.
