First Lady Michelle Obama Inspires Students During Columbia Visit
FLOTUS got Howard County students revved up about their futures through higher education.
Columbia rolled out the red carpet Thursday for First Lady Michelle Obama.
Obama spoke about higher education and job readiness at Howard Community College (HCC) on a panel with an HCC student and the presidents of Howard County General Hospital and HCC.
“...we need to educate all of our young people on why high school is not where you end—it is just the next step...” Obama said to an audience of students from the Howard County Public School System. She and the President have been working to make community college more accessible through the Reach Higher initiative.
