Flash Flood Warning for Area Monday Night

National Weather Services says line of storms and heavy rains will be dangerous.

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for the region until 11 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms producing heavy rains were moving across the area at 7:13 p.m. and they’d already produced more than one inch of rain.

An additional inch was possible and flash flooding is expected.

WESTMINSTER...COLUMBIA...HAMPSTEAD...MANCHESTER...SYKESVILLE... OAKLAND...MILFORD MILL...ELDERSBURG...OWINGS MILLS... RANDALLSTOWN...ELLICOTT CITY...REISTERSTOWN...SAVAGE-GUILFORD... GAMBER...GLENELG...LOUISVILLE...LINEBORO...CLARKSVILLE...GREENMOUNT AND FINKSBURG.

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

If you are in the warned area, move to higher ground immediately.

Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions.

“Do not attempt to cross swiftly flowing waters or water of unknown depth by foot or by automobile,” according to the NWS.
