Free Flu Clinics Offered To HCPSS Students In October

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — All Howard County Public School System high schools will hold flu clinics in October to offer a free flu shot to students. The HCPSS has teamed up with the Maryland Partnership for Prevention to offer this option. Parents and guardians will receive specifics from their school as their respective flu clinic date approaches.

Parents who want their students to receive the flu vaccination must complete a consent form, either online or in print. For the 2019-2020 season, manufacturers have projected they will provide between 162 million and 169 million doses of vaccine for the U.S. market, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports.
