Glenwood Crash Seriously Injures 1: Police
Police said an 81-year-old Howard County man was injured Saturday afternoon when his vehicle hit a tree on Route 97.
GLENWOOD, MD — A man was seriously injured when his car hit a tree Saturday afternoon in Glenwood, according to the Howard County Police Department. The cause of the single-vehicle crash remains under investigation, police reported Saturday evening.
At 2:52 p.m., authorities said a 2009 Toyota RAV4 was headed north on MD 97 when it left the road near Cattail Oaks and hit a tree.
Leroy Peyton Truehart, 81, of Cooksville, was taken to Howard County General Hospital in serious condition, police reported. He was the driver and only person in the vehicle, officials said.
