HCPSS Art Show Now Entirely Online

Artwork from the 30th annual Senior Art Show & Junior Portfolio Development Exhibition can now be viewed online.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County Public Schools' juniors and seniors with artwork featured in the 30th annual Senior Art Show & Junior Portfolio Development Exhibition won't be able to share their talents in person due to the coronavirus. Instead, the artwork can be viewed online.

The annual exhibition is an integral part of the HCPSS visual arts program, the district noted. As emerging artists, it is instrumental for the students to present their work to a wider audience, to share skill development and recognize and honor their personal voices. By providing junior and senior artists with the model of a juried exhibition experience, it furthers their development of important artistic behaviors such as choice making, communication, risk taking and perseverance.
