Howard County Closings And Delays For March 22

The Howard County Public School System made an announcement regarding March 22.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Howard County will be closed on Thursday, March 22. Officials made the call on Wednesday night, after several inches of snow had fallen across HoCo.

While public schools will be closed, authorities said that school offices will be open on Thursday, March 22, in the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS).

Evening activities, including athletic events and community-sponsored activities, will be canceled Thursday, according to HCPSS. The Howard County Board of Education meeting slated for March 22 has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a date to be determined.

  • Howard Community College is closed on Thursday, March 22.
  • Howard County government offices are on liberal leave on Thursday, March 22.
  • Curbside collections will resume Thursday on a slide schedule; pickup will occur one day later than usual, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and people must have cleared receptacles of snow and ice.
