HCPSS Named A Top Employer For Diversity By Forbes

The Howard County Public School System has been named one of America's Best Employers for Diversity for 2020​ by Forbes magazine.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — For the second consecutive year, the Howard County Public School System was named one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity for 2020 by Forbes magazine. HCPSS placed No. 168 overall on the national list of 500 employers.

“I’m proud that the Howard County Public School System has once again been recognized by Forbes as a top employer for diversity,” said HCPSS Superintendent Michael J. Martirano in statement. “This highlights the work we do every day to fulfill our Strategic Call to Action, to create inclusive school climates for all students and staff, and to offer every child equitable opportunities to learn, grow and achieve.”

The Best Employers for Diversity 2020 were chosen based upon an independent survey taken of a representative sample of 60,000 employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. The full rankings are available online.
