HCPSS Playgrounds, Courts, Fields Open To The Public

Howard County Public School System has opened up its outdoor facilities to the public, which is in conjunction with the state's reopening.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — All Howard County Public School System outdoor facilities are open to the public starting today. HCPSS outdoor facilities were closed March 13 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tracks and tennis courts reopened May 15 in response to Gov. Larry Hogan’s actions to ease stay-at-home restrictions.

While school basketball courts, playgrounds and playing fields are open, the school district is not allowing groups to reserve school facilities at this time. School officials noted that all users must maintain proper social distancing, as determined by county and state guidelines.
