Help Needed As Supplies 'Critically Low' At Pet Food Bank

The Pet Food Bank ran by the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center is facing critically low supplies. Here's how you can help.

COLUMBIA, MD — Due to an influx of pets residing at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center, and a growing need for assistance provided by the Pet Food Bank, donations are needed to help support their low supplies.

The adoption center's Pet Food Bank is in critical need of cat food, cat litter and dog food. Donations are being accepted through the adoption center's Amazon wish list or can be dropped off at the adoption center, which is located at 8576 Davis Road in Columbia.

The county's Pet Food Bank allows the county's animal control to help county pet owners care and feed their pets during challenging times instead of surrendering or rehoming their pets. The pet owners often are on a fixed income, in-between jobs or facing other financial strains, the county adoption center stated.
