HoCo Executive Calvin Ball Appears For Jury Duty Sept. 30

County government officials must report for jury duty, too, including HoCo Executive Calvin Ball who was summoned Sept. 30.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Howard County Executive Calvin Ball spent his morning Sept. 30 at the Howard County Circuit Courthouse in Ellicott City after being summoned for jury duty. The Circuit Court hears jury trials, juvenile, family law, serious criminal matters and complex civil matters. The Circuit Court also hears appeals from the District Court of Maryland, Orphans Court and Administrative Agencies.

“One of the foundations of our democracy, enshrined in our Constitution, is the right to be tried by a jury of your peers. Today, I am honored to exercise my civic duty by appearing for jury duty in Howard County,” Ball said in a statement.
