HoCo Police to Increase Patrols for St. Patrick's Day
Officers in Howard County say they will be on the lookout Tuesday for drunk, impaired drivers.

The Howard County Police Department is asking citizens to designate a sober driver if they plan on drinking alcohol on St. Patrick’s Day.
Officers will increase their presence on local roads Tuesday, police said.
“St. Patrick’s Day is historically one of the most dangerous holidays for drunk driving,” the Howard County Police Department said in a statement Monday. “Police are alerting drivers that additional patrols will be in place to seek out impaired drivers and take them off the roads.”
