Holocaust Remembrance Day April 27 Will Be Recognized Virtually In Howard County

Hear from the loved ones of Holocaust survivors from Howard Co., view artifacts and light a candle on Holocaust Remembrance Day April 27.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — "Keeping the Memory Alive," a virtual presentation planned for Holocaust Remembrance Day April 27, will start at 6 p.m. Area children and grandchildren of survivors will be sharing stories of their families virtually at www.jewishhowardcounty.org/yomhashoah.

There will be pre-event activities including a Holocaust artifacts exhibit with contributions from local community members from the Shoah period such as photos, mementos, posters, clothing that can be viewed online along with area survivor video testimonials, a book gallery, the unveiling of student winners in the essay, poetry and art categories, followed by a memorial service, candle lighting and guest speakers starting at 7 p.m.
