Home Invasion Reported in Columbia
Two people were awakened to find a strange man in their bedroom, according to police.

A home invasion was reported in a Columbia residence where two people were sleeping over the weekend, according to the Howard County Police Department.
At 1:05 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, a man and woman reported they awoke to find a man in their bedroom in the 6400 block of Sewells Orchard Drive, according to police.
Authorities said the residents may have left the front door unlocked.

The man who lived there fought with the suspect, who left with small electronics, police reported.
There were no serious injuries as a result of the home invasion, according to the report.

Police said the suspect was described as a thin black man who was 18 to 21 years old, had high top hair and was 5’8” to 5’10” tall.
