8 Displaced By Guilford Road Fire, Officials Say
Firefighters were called to a house fire early Wednesday morning in Howard County.

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD — Eight people were being assisted by the Red Cross after a fire off Guilford Road, according to officials. The fire was reported before 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Nobody was injured in the fire, which broke out at a house in the 11000 block of Guilford Road, authorities said.
The property was a house that had been converted into four apartments, officials said.

Firefighters found fire between the floors and the apartments, according to Howard County first responders.
Howard County firefighters were joined by Prince George's and Anne Arundel crews, who worked to extinguish the blaze after opening the walls, ceilings, attic and roof.

By 4:50 a.m., officials said the fire was under control, and eight people impacted had requested Red Cross assistance.
After 6 a.m., Guilford Road was closed between Pump House Road and Brock Bridge Road, according to WJZ.
