Howard County Animal Control Waives Fees For A Day
The Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center is hosting a huge adoption event Saturday, with adoption fees waived.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Clear the Shelters campaign is being held at animal shelters across the country, and Howard County is participating in the one-day event. To encourage people to adopt pets, adoption fees will be waived for prospective pet parents on Saturday, Aug. 18, for the occasion.
The adoption campaign is sponsored by NBC and Telemundo.
The Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center welcomes people to help clear its shelter from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18. The shelter is at 8556 Davis Road, Columbia.

More than 80,000 animals around the country were adopted last year during the Clear the Shelters event.
